Heirloom Restaurant in Almonte tries to be posh and imaginative, but just doesn't make the grade. The quality of the food is inconsistent, although the presentation is usually quite pretty. We've had some OK meals there, and some surprisingly poor ones, which, given Heirloom is supposed to be Almonte's "fine dining" option, is a little disappointing. It's also sometimes grossly expensive for what's on offer, and the service can be downright snotty. All in all, not impressed. It wouldn't take much to tighten up the business a bit I just wish they'd do it!
